Information for a successful reopening strategy on 19 May

We've all been waiting for it! The official reopening of small shops and terraces has finally been announced. Scheduled for this Wednesday 19 May, it is a real breath of fresh air for all the local shops but also for their customers, who will once again be able to see the smiles (masked, but present) of their favourite traders.

Which shops are affected?

This reopening concerns all so-called "non-essential" businesses that were closed during the containment, including those in shopping centres, on the sole condition that they respect the sanitary protocols recommended for each location and activity.

This is an opportunity to relax after a little shopping in the city centre, as bars and restaurants will also be able to reopen at 50% of their capacity from this Wednesday onwards, albeit in small groups, as tables - on the terrace only - will be limited to a maximum of 6 people.

For cafés and restaurants, it will be necessary to wait until 9 June (still with a maximum of 6 people per table).

The curfew will be extended to 9pm.

Health protocol

When the shops reopened, a reinforced sanitary protocol was put in place, but this will be gradually reduced until it disappears.

Shops and shopping centres will not be able to accommodate more thanone customer per 8m2 of sales area. This limit will be reduced to 4m2 from 9 June 2021 and will be lifted completely on 30 June 2021. A tolerance is nevertheless granted for people accompanied by the same social unit (families for example) or requiring assistance (elderly, disabled adults etc.).

A clear sign on the capacity of the shop as well as the sanitary instructions must be visible from the outside and, of course, one must not forget to disinfect one's hands when entering and to wear one's small mask.

Good practice

In order to reduce the risk of contamination as much as possible and to offer a pleasant experience to your customers, we have prepared a list of good practices to put in place:

Leave the windows open if the weather permits, otherwise air the shop occasionally

Yabe's advice

As 19 May is a highly anticipated day, we have listed our best tips to ensure a successful reopening.

Your customers need to know that you will be "there" on the day of the reopening. You need to inform them well and invite them to visit your store. To do this, get help from Yabe

Show your customers that this is a special day for you and for them. Feel free to redesign your shop with decorative elements or "we missed you" banners.

A little extra: mark the occasion with a special event! A workshop with a small group? An outdoor tasting? A welcome back gift? Whatever you choose, always remember to organise it in compliance with the barrier measures and sanitary protocol in place.

And for our Yabe merchants, the possibility to make an appointment with a member of our team and benefit from a quick audit of your digital presence followed by our recommendations to boost your visibility.

It's also the perfect opportunity to discuss what we could build together or boost your visibility. (Interviews, social networks, blog, podcasts, newsletter...).

Make an appointment without delay!

For this long-awaited reopening, Yabe sends you all its good vibes (and recommends you click & collect thanks to the new version of its app).
